Home Health Assistants, under the direction of an RN, help patients with activities of daily living, such as getting in and out of bed, walking, bathing, toileting, and dressing. They can assist with catheter care, range of motion exercises, taking of temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration. HHAs do not take the place of the patient's primary caregiver.
